Atari Missile Command is a classic arcade game where you defend six cities from a barrage of ballistic missile attacks. Use your artillery to intercept the missiles and save your cities from annihilation.

How to Play

Basics

The basics of Missile Command are to intercept missiles and save as many cities and turrets as possible. However, every new level comes with faster missiles in greater quantities. There’s even giant smart bombs, bomber planes, and satellites dropping their own bombs later in the game; this really amps up the challenge.

At the end of each level, you’ll receive a bonus score based on how many cities you’ve managed to rescue and rockets you’ve managed to conserve. These also replenish between levels.

Tips

Stay level-headed and time your shots with tactical precision, like a sniper. The faster the missiles are moving towards you, the further ahead of the missile you’ll have to shoot to make an impact.

Spraying missiles is not an effective strategy because they run out fast, so make sure you make every shot count. If you do run out of missiles, you’ll have to take the damage until your enemies' weapons are depleted, meaning it’s potentially game over.
