Apex Legends offers an immersive battle royale game that is clearly inspired by Fortnite, but adds new features. Just as most games in the genre, it is free-to-play. There are many battle royale games out there, and Apex Legends try to bring a unique concept to the market. Instead of starting the game as a normal character, you have the freedom to become a Legend with a unique set of abilities. On the bright side, you do not need to fight alone as you have to work together with your teammates to become the last surviving team.

Gameplay

The gameplay concept is hero-shooter style. The main character you are using is called Legend. There are plenty of characters with different classes. Each character has special abilities that can help in battle; you can pick whatever character that suits your play style. 20 teams compete with each other; each team consists of three players. You and your teammates must complement each other to make the best possible team of Legends.

At the start of the game, just like the other Battle Royale games, you start with no equipment and need to find equipment to prepare for the upcoming battle. The constantly shrinking safe zone also exists which you must always pay attention to. The innovative combat allows players to experience an advanced battle royale gameplay with Respawn Bacons that can be used to resurrect the fallen teammates.

Mechanism

Besides the stunning graphics and engaging gameplay, Apex Legends offers characters' customization. There are Apex Packs that allow players to earn new cosmetic items or crafting currency when they reach a new Player level. As for the rewards after playing a match, players are rewarded with Legend Tokens that can be used to unlock new Legends characters and other cosmetic items. There is also an IAP which called Apex Coins that can be used to buy certain items within the game.
